Welcome to 7 Roots Photography. I’m Victor, a photographer and a proud first responder serving my community. Growing up in vibrant NYC, my life has been shaped by two trains—the 7 and the R. The 7 train took me to Citi Field, where I spent my childhood watching my favorite baseball team, the Mets, and learning to appreciate life’s simple joys. The R train, however, was the one that ran right to my door, symbolizing the heartbeat of my community and serving as a constant reminder that no matter how far I travel, I’ll never forget where I come from. This is why I chose 7 Roots Photography—a name that reflects the significance of these trains in my life, as well as my deep commitment to staying grounded in my roots.
At 7 Roots Photography, I specialize in capturing the fleeting, beautiful moments that make life extraordinary. My passion for photography grew from a deep appreciation for life itself, especially after a health scare I had at the age of 19. Diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma, I thought my life might be cut short. Beating cancer gave me a new perspective on time, reminding me how precious every moment truly is. It’s this appreciation for life that fuels my desire to preserve memories for you—moments that will last a lifetime.
In addition to photography, I’m also a local first responder, dedicated to serving and protecting my community. Being a first responder has instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility, compassion, and the importance of being there for others. These values carry over into my work as a photographer, where I approach each session with the same level of care and dedication to ensure that every moment is captured with respect and authenticity.
